He was arrested and sent to reform school called Waiffs Home, where he learned to play trumpet. Rich musical tradition of New Orleansfneighborhood and experience at Waiffs Home lead him to glorious life as Worldfs Greatest King of Jazz. |

730 instruments from Japanese jazz fans, |

Since 1994, Wonderful World Jazz Foundation has sent over 730 musical instruments
to children of New Orleans----Satchmofs Grandsons and daughters, with help of Nippon Nippon Express, United Airlines, and Marubeni Corp. Global Corporationfs instrument repair school gave us free repair of broken instruments. We all have a dream to see many more "little Louis" coming out from Home of Jazz, and we with all the Japanese Jazz Fans want to say thank you to Satchmo, New Orleans and USA, for giving the whole World such a wonderful present called JAZZ!! |

Instruments Instruments, such as trumpet, clarinet,trombone, sax,tuba, drum, guitar,violin,,,,,,were sent from all over Japan, from Jazz fans, musicians, all kind of people who used to play instruments but does not play any more, with horns laying up on the closet. Often Japanese schools, elementary schools, junior high, high schools, who want to help children of Birth place of Jazz,sent us cast away instruments, which were repaired by young students of Global Corporation instrument Repair School. |
